A field full of plants is not an invitation to pick everything that looks ready. Fishers AgriPark’s free u-pick program asks visitors to check in with staff, who identify the day’s approved produce and supply the required picking container. Availability depends on weather, field conditions and demand.
The farm is at 11171 Florida Road. Its current visiting page lists Monday and Tuesday closures, seasonal hours and additional October event closures, including October 18. Check the latest notices before visiting; a general description of the farm does not override a closure announcement or guarantee that picking is offered that day.

The daily limit is one supplied container per household, and personal bags or boxes are not permitted for picking. Staff check the harvest, bag it and take the container back. Following that process gives more households an opportunity to participate and keeps visitors from harvesting crops that are not ready.
Use the visit to connect a vegetable with the plant it grows on. Ask staff how to pick an approved crop, then plan a manageable way to use what you take home. Picking only what the household can prepare makes the experience about understanding food as well as collecting it.
